I am a Champion

Story

"I Am a Champion" is a short documentary about Quresha, who lives with diabetes and fights the stigma that comes with it. It is part of Novo Nordisk's global impact film series about driving change, and it had to make that stigma feel like something happening to one specific person rather than a number in a report. The hard part was that Quresha lives in Mombasa and we filmed her in Bilbao, so her home and her everyday life never appeared on camera - her world had to be present in a film shot entirely somewhere else.
