Story

Anders Lendager builds from what is already there. Concrete crushed and recast, bricks and timber salvaged from buildings coming down, windows given a second life. The principle he works by is that form follows availability: you design from what the site and the region can actually supply, instead of ordering materials and hoping they turn up.

That only works if someone takes the buildings apart carefully enough for the materials to survive, which is why the demolition contractor is in the film as well. Circular architecture starts at the wrecking site, not at the drawing board.

The TRÆ tower in Aarhus is the case the film uses to show that it holds up - structurally, commercially and visually.
